Key Dates

2021-2022 FALC Membership

To participate in FALC sponsored shows and exhibits, one must be juried in as a exhibiting member. Artists who have submitted 3 pieces of original art which meet with the approval and acceptance of the voting members will be awarded "Exhibiting Membership". Jurying in will take place at most meetings.

Membership for continuing members is $45.00 per year, January through December.

$45 - full year membership

$25 - half year membership (Jurying after June 2021 till December 2022)

FALC RED ROCK CAFE SHOW:

FALC congratulates Geeta Taneja for being chosen for Distinguished Artist of Cupertino of 2020. It is an honor that Geeta works as a steering committee member and FALC member since 2016. Her recognition by City of Cupertino is a testament to her contemporary and impressionist art styles. She creates her work with Water color , acrylics and oils. A great story teller of her experiences through her artwork.

Sriharsha Annadore is a fine arts photographer having passion to tell visual stories. His story subjects often include intricate human relationships, wildlife conservation, natural history, fragile ecosystems, urban human life, national parks and anything local to california. Sriharshas passion in photography started when he was volunteering as a porter for wildlife research scientists in India where he picked up the technical aspects of film/slide development, later on transitioning to digital. He publishes his work mainly through online forums and website where he sells custom prints. He also enjoys teaching photography as an art to varied interest groups. Regular photo field trips for kids to national wildlife refuges, targeted workshops like night landscapes, astrophotography, street candid life, national parks in different seasons etc., He also teaches photoshop for other artist colleagues in areas of image compositing for reference photos. Sriharsha is active as a member in FALC since 2018 where he volunteers for publicity chair.

Shows to Enter

The City of Mountain View Visual Arts Committee (VAC) seeks to commission an artist, or an artist team, to create the design and commission for public artwork for the Rengstorff Park Aquatics Center. The City intends to bid the construction of the new aquatics center in summer 2021 and complete construction in 2022. The expectation is for the selected pieces to be installed by the artist during the construction phase. All applications must be submitted online via CaFe at www.callforentry.org, an online application system for calls for entry. There is no charge for artists to apply or use CaFe. Applications that are mailed, faxed, or hand-delivered will not be considered, as this is an online system. Applications are due by January 27th, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. (PST). Member of FALC Kathy Qi has started a website for artists for selling and promoting their work. website: http://www.key2arts.com/ Key2ARTS.com is a FREE community service for artists to exhibit and sell their own original, prints, and cards of artwork with very low commission rate.
