To participate in FALC sponsored shows and exhibits, one must be juried in as a exhibiting member. Artists who have submitted 3 pieces of original art which meet with the approval and acceptance of the voting members will be awarded "Exhibiting Membership". Jurying in will take place at most meetings.
Membership for continuing members is $45.00 per year, January through December.
$45 - full year membership
$25 - half year membership (Jurying after June 2021 till December 2022)

Michael was born in West Texas and grew up in the rural Umpqua Valley in Oregon. He enlisted in the Marines and served in Vietnam. A graduate from Brigham Young University, Michael has had a career as an illustrator & graphic designer.
He has worked with magazines, corporations and major art agencies in Seattle, Salt Lake, San Francisco and the Bay Area. Michael has recently worked on a post-graduate degree with the Academy of Art, San Francisco. He shows his work at Gallery 24, Los Gatos Ca. His studio is in San Jose at the Alameda Artworks.
His work has received regional and national awards. Michael has studied figurative, and portrait art with Jim Smith, George Rivera, Ted Nuttall, Ray Mendota, Warren Chang, Oliver Sin, Adrien Gottlieb, Zhaoming Wu.

The City of Mountain View Visual Arts Committee (VAC) seeks to commission an artist, or an artist team, to create the design and commission for public artwork for the Rengstorff Park Aquatics Center. The City intends to bid the construction of the new aquatics center in summer 2021 and complete construction in 2022. The expectation is for the selected pieces to be installed by the artist during the construction phase. All applications must be submitted online via CaFe at www.callforentry.org, an online application system for calls for entry. There is no charge for artists to apply or use CaFe. Applications that are mailed, faxed, or hand-delivered will not be considered, as this is an online system. Applications are due by January 27th, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. (PST).
