To participate in FALC sponsored shows and exhibits, one must be juried in as a exhibiting member. Artists who have submitted 3 pieces of original art which meet with the approval and acceptance of the voting members will be awarded "Exhibiting Membership". Jurying in will take place at most meetings.

Membership for continuing members is $45.00 per year, January through December.

Todd is a mostly self-taught artist residing in Highland, California, southeast of Los Angeles. His portfolio consists of over 400 works in a wide variety of media and styles. Typical subjects include portraits, abstract, science fiction, and historical events, in oil paint on canvas. A common approach in Todd’s art is to recreate old black and white photos as paintings. The intent is to bring attention to the original photos and to the interesting stories of the subjects. The subject of this demo will be the techniques to achieve accuracy and also some ideas in creatively merging two related images. Todd’s work has appeared in a show at the Salmagundi Club in Greenwich, New York, auctioned in Belgium to support a VanGogh sculpture, contracted for jigsaw puzzles, and is on permanent display at the Vicksburg Civil War Museum. His paintings have also been the used as the cover of a book by the Catholic Health Association, and on the cover of the James Caird Society Journal. Todd has exhibited art in gallery shows including Los Angeles, Houston, San Francisco, New York, and the Netherlands. Website: www.toddkruseart.com
