I was raised in Seattle Washington, spent my college years in Colorado and have lived in Sunnyvale since 1979. I am married with grown children and wonderful grandchildren. My BFA was in metalwork but a cramped apartment and stint in jewelry manufacturing changed my mind about metalwork, so I have worked in other media for most of my career. I did traditional transparent watercolor on paper until an encounter with silk in 2008 captivated me. I love the vibrancy of the dyes, the sheen of the silk and the many possibilities of this medium from clothing to wall art.
